A gentle hand through life's last chapter
I'm Marsha — a death doula offering calm, non-medical companionship for the dying and their families across Lexington and Michigan's Thumb. No agenda, no rush. Only presence.

Questions families ask
A death doula is a non-medical companion who offers emotional, practical, and spiritual support to a dying person and their loved ones. Much as a birth doula supports a family welcoming new life, I support a family through life's final chapter — alongside, and never replacing, your medical and hospice team.
I work alongside hospice — gladly. Hospice cares for the medical journey; I help carry the human one, filling the hours between visits with steady presence and helping the whole family feel supported. I will never get in the way of your hospice or medical team.
Sooner is gentler than later. Reaching out early means more time to plan calmly and a softer experience for everyone — but I'm just as glad to come in the final days. Whenever you call, you'll be met without rush or pressure.
The first conversation is always free, and I'll be clear about any costs in writing before we begin — no surprises. Care is arranged simply around what your family needs. If cost is a worry, please tell me: I keep a few reduced-fee spots open, and I don't want money to keep you from reaching out.
Close to home, here in the Thumb
I come to you — at home, in a care facility, or at the bedside — serving Lexington, Croswell, Sandusky, Port Huron, Marysville, St. Clair, Lapeer, and the surrounding communities of Sanilac and St. Clair counties.
Let's talk, whenever you're ready
A first conversation is unhurried and free. We'll simply listen.
